Touching Dreams is a registered non-profit company created by the hospitality industry. We invest in the local communities and natural environments where tourism is prevalent. Our intention is to foster the collective power of South Africa’s tourism industry to drive real change.

Hospitality and tourism are in a unique position to assist people in some of the most remote regions in South Africa. Through meaningful collaboration, we support initiatives in host communities, with the aim of nurturing and developing our future leaders.For tourism to be sustainable, we need to support and give back to the communities and natural habitats that we impact through our operations.

And with the right collaboration and intentional support from different industry players, these environments will not only be supported, but can truly thrive. A sustainable tourism industry will ensure local and international travellers can continue to experience everything that this beautiful country has to offer, for many generations to come.

We create meaningful, industry-wide change and offer a vehicle for hospitality providers who want to make an impact in their communities, but aren’t sure where to begin.

Through our initiatives, we also allow corporations outside of the hospitality space to support some of the most remote areas in South Africa, ensuring that all corners of our beautiful country receive the right assistance to thrive. Tourism is an important contributor to the economy, but it won’t be sustainable if we don’t invest in these communities and environments.

The Touching Dreams portfolio is made up of several community-based initiatives, many of which are aimed at supporting the development of South Africa’s future leaders. Each of the 24 properties in the Dream Hotels & Resorts family support causes within their communities that are associated with early childhood or youth development. The foundation also branches into wildlife conservation and environmental protection. We are seeking the support of other like-minded companies to join this initiative.
