Touching Dreams launches Disaster Relief Campaign for flooding and wildfires

January 2026 - In light of the recent severe flooding in Limpopo and Mpumalanga , alongside devastating wildfires impacting vulnerable regions in the Western Cape, we invite the Dream Community to join us in taking action by raising emergency relief funds to support the affected communities and the rebuilding of South Africa’s iconic Kruger National Park tourism infrastructure. This is a critical moment to stand together when our country, its people, and our precious natural heritage need us most.

We understand that our partners, teams of employees, and Dream Vacation Club members are deeply passionate about supporting those in need and protecting the environment we all share. Through this collective initiative, our tourism and hospitality NPO, Touching Dreams (2021/875826/08), will serve as a trusted conduit, connecting our community directly with reputable, on-the-ground disaster relief efforts.

To ensure transparency and accountability, all donations received through this campaign will be carefully allocated and administered within Touching Dreams, with funds distributed strictly in accordance with donors’ expressed wishes. Members of the Dream Community will have the option to choose where they would like their donation to be directed, ensuring that each contribution supports the cause closest to their hearts.

The flood damage to Kruger National Park is preliminarily estimated at R500 million. Days-long rains across the Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces have devastated roads and bridges, crippled water and electrical systems, and damaged staff villages and tourist accommodation. At the same time, wildfires in parts of the Western Cape have ravaged more than 132,000 hectares of land, leaving communities and ecosystems deeply scarred. With a long and difficult road to recovery ahead, there is an urgent call for monetary aid to help restore what has been lost and support those most affected.

Donors may choose where to direct their support:

  • Reference 1: Flood Fund - Community relief
  • Reference 2: Wildfire Fund - Community relief
  • Reference 3: Kruger Relief Fund - Park Recovery and Restoration
  • Reference 4: Shared Fund - To support all three initiatives

All funds will be securely administered by Touching Dreams and distributed in line with the selected reference.
